October 2026: three new channels, campaigns and a refreshed widget
Email, Slack and Telegram went live, alongside WhatsApp campaigns, Calendly booking and the MCP server. Also this month: a refreshed Chat widget, faster replies, verified order lookups and a safer Playground.
October was our biggest month since launch. Each major launch has its own note; this roundup covers everything else.
- A refreshed Chat widget that opens above the launcher and straight into the conversation.
- Faster replies, with lookups running at the same time.
- Verified order lookups: an order number alone no longer unlocks order details.
- A safer Playground where actions that change data are simulated and the cart works.
New this month
A refreshed Chat widget
- It opens above the launcher, never on top of it, and the launcher turns into a close chevron while it's open.
- Straight into the conversation. The widget opens on the chat itself, with past conversations in a rebuilt Messages tab.
- A cleaner look: new type, a simpler header, and white as the default primary color for new widgets.

AI agent
- Faster replies. When no lookup is needed the agent answers in a single step, and when several are needed it runs them at the same time.
- Verified order lookups. An order number alone no longer unlocks order details: the customer gives the email on the order and enters a six-digit code Asks sends to it. On WhatsApp, the customer's own number verifies orders placed with it.
- A safer Playground. It now looks like your inbox, actions that change data are simulated, and the cart works, so you can test a whole purchase.
- Better website imports. Adding a website reads its sitemap and same-site links, so fewer pages are missed.
Shopify, WhatsApp and plans
- Shopify opens your workspace. Opening Asks from your Shopify admin takes you to your store's workspace at app.asks.app, and reinstalling the app reconnects the workspace you had instead of starting a new one.
- One WhatsApp Connect button for a new number and for a number you already use in the WhatsApp Business app.
- A knowledge-items meter in the knowledge base shows how much of your plan you've used.
- Starter for $29 a month billed yearly ($348 a year).
